Support Services for the Developmental Therapeutics Program (DTP) of the Division of Cancer Treatment and Diagnosis, NCI
NOVA has been providing technical and logistics support to the DTP since 1993. The DTP promotes all aspects of the discovery and preclinical development of new compounds for the treatment of cancer and AIDS-associated malignancies. NOVA's primary role is to provide scientific writing, editorial, and data management support to the committees and groups responsible for evaluating compounds and determining their progress through the drug development process. NOVA staff attend meetings, write action items and highly technical summary minutes, and work closely with Chairs and members to facilitate committee work. NOVA helps maintain a vast amount of scientific information in a variety of databases. NOVA's science writers also assist the DTP in preparing symposium/conference materials such as agendas, scientific abstracts, and programs and producing summary reports for publication in peer-reviewed journals.
