Whether it's coordinating conferences for cancer survivors in Europe; demonstrating the effectiveness of QDS™ software to survey developers in Scandinavia; or conducting HIV/AIDS/STD prevention screenings with research institutions in South Africa, NOVA offers a host of services and products to meet the needs of the global community.

HIV/AIDS/STD Research — NOVA is working with the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) to implement screening instruments for HIV/AIDS/STD risk behavior in South Africa using QDS™ software on a handheld computer (Pocket PC). Adolescents from across South Africa and into other African nations are being studied in coordination with leading research institutions and universities there to help prevent HIV/AIDS/STD transmission.

Events Planning — The National Cancer Institute (NCI) President's Cancer Panel and Lance Armstrong Foundation recently asked NOVA to coordinate a series of meetings in Lisbon, Portugal and Paris, France to study cancer survivorship issues among Europeans. NOVA recruited a cross section of cancer and health care experts and cancer survivors from Portugal, France, Denmark, Germany, England, Sweden and other countries to address the Panel on issues surrounding survivorship and availability of cancer treatment in the European community.

Health education-promotion services and Questionnaire Development System (QDS) — The U.S. Department of Commerce hosts trade missions to foreign cities in order to encourage U.S. companies to export their products to other countries. Businesses are grouped usually by a common theme (e.g., Healthcare Technology or Information Technology) and are given a chance to meet with prospective customers interested in their products and services. U.S. Embassy-based trade specialists set up appointments in each city prior to the arrival of U.S. company representatives. In turn, companies like NOVA get to spend as much time as possible face to face with prospective clients to demonstrate the virtues of its products and services. NOVA has cultivated relationships in these countries as a result of trade missions and recommendations from QDS™ and health services users around the world: Egypt, Kenya, South Africa, Netherlands, France, Greece, Italy, Spain, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Ireland, England, Mexico, Puerto Rico, and Canada.
